Environment

For most RTO scenarios, the weather doesn’t make a big difference. But for some, it does.

Imagine being number three for take-off on a stormy night after the worst of the front has passed and the airport reopened. You line up on the runway, take your time to scan the weather, develop a plan and agree with your first officer you will find a way through the remainders of the front. Accelerating through 100 knots, the weather radar quits.

There may not be a wrong or right decision for complex situations like this. But thinking about them, playing with different options, will prepare us better for the challenges of the real world.

ADMT allows you to create relevant weather scenarios without entering a single number.

Just click on one or more of the keywords, and you get what you want. And if you are not happy with the result, use the Generate button to get a variation. If you switch airports or runways, ADMT adapts the relative wind accordingly. You can adjust scenarios easily in real-time to demonstrate effects the environment may have on our decision making.
